The Pistoleras fired off their first bout of their second season with a big BANG against the K City Rollers of OKRD, Saturday May 25th at McLaren Arena. Final score 150-132. Both teams played their hearts out to the sold out crowd.
The K City Rollers started strong and gained an early lead on the Pistoleras in the first half. Pistolera penalties were rampant, with the Pistoleras spending more time in the penalty box than on the track. This combined with strong K City jamming gave the Rollers a 50 point lead at the half.
The second half was hard hitting and fast. The Pistoleras kept themselves out of the box and on the track and were a force to be reckoned with. With strong strategies and a whole lot of team work the Pistoleras were able to pass and hold the Rollers back. The two teams hope to rematch late this summer in Kelowna.
