About Us

The Sport of Roller Derby

Roller Derby is a full-contact sport played on quad Roller Skates.  Although it is mainly a women's game, men are getting their own teams together too.  Roller Derby is an inclusive space.
Roller Derby is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, with a long history.  We are looking for any individuals interested in being a part of that history!

To get started...

The first step is contacting our recruitment team at sordameat@gmail.com!

We may have some basic questions for you like, Have you skated before? Played any contact sports?

We offer our new recruits 3 free practices including the use of league gear to get the feel for your natural ability and/or skill level. Skaters are required to supply their own mouthguard.

Coming to Practice

Once we know you're coming, and what size gear you will need, you are welcome to join us at practices!

Our typical schedule is Tuesday and Thursday 6:30PM to 8:30PM. Our venue changes depending on the time of year, but we always host in Penticton.

Join our SORDA Recruits & Volunteers Facebook Page for practice details!
